PRL High Volume Intake System for Civic and Integra 1.5T

Improve airflow, induction sound, and engine response with the PRL Motorsports High Volume Intake System for the 2022+ Honda Civic 1.5L Turbo and 2023+ Acura Integra 1.5L Turbo.

Unlike the exposed-filter PRL Short Ram Intake, the High Volume Intake uses a sealed rotomolded airbox and a dedicated high-volume inlet duct that works with the factory front air guide and hood seal. This design helps deliver outside airflow to the filter while reducing exposure to engine-bay heat.

PRL reports gains of more than 10 horsepower and 10 lb-ft of torque, with no ECU calibration required. Actual performance may vary according to vehicle condition, fuel, modifications, weather, and testing method.

The included injection-molded inlet duct connects to the airbox using OE-style clips and seals against the factory rubber hood guide.

Rather than replacing the Civic and Integra’s effective factory frontal-air routing, PRL designed the system to use and enlarge that airflow path. A provision in the bottom of the airbox also supports PRL’s optional High Volume “Plus” cold-air duct.

Sealed HDPE Airbox

The rotomolded HDPE airbox helps isolate the filter from engine-bay heat while maintaining a large internal volume for airflow.

The filter can be accessed for routine maintenance without removing the complete airbox assembly.

Four-Inch Oiled Cone Filter

The intake uses a large 4-inch inside-diameter oiled cone filter to increase available filter area and airflow capacity.

The reusable filter should be inspected, cleaned, and re-oiled according to PRL’s maintenance recommendations.

High-Volume MAF Housing

PRL’s one-piece High Volume MAF housing is designed to support increased airflow while maintaining appropriate fuel trims.

Because the housing is engineered around the factory engine-management system, PRL states that no ECU calibration is required for installation.

Four-Ply Silicone Intake Hose

A custom-molded four-ply silicone hose connects the intake assembly while providing a smooth internal airflow path.

Integrated receiving grooves help locate the components securely and reduce the chance of misalignment or airflow obstruction.

Installation

The system is designed for vehicle-specific installation using the included components and factory air-routing provisions.

Professional installation is recommended for customers unfamiliar with mass-airflow sensors, intake systems, or engine-bay component removal. Follow PRL’s current installation guide and inspect all clamps and connections after the first heat cycle.
