Washable and Reusable Cotton Filter

The HPS-4298 uses two layers of woven cotton filter media treated with a lightweight synthetic oil. The filter can be cleaned and serviced for continued use rather than discarded like a conventional paper filter.

Stainless-Steel Mesh Reinforcement

The filter media is supported by stainless-steel mesh to help maintain the filter’s shape under intake vacuum and heavy airflow conditions. HPS specifically uses stainless steel instead of less rigid aluminum mesh for improved resistance to deformation.

Low-Pressure Molded Construction

HPS uses low-pressure injection molding around the filter element to reduce rubber seepage into the filtration area.

Sensor-Safe Synthetic Filter Oil

The filter is supplied pre-oiled with HPS synthetic filter oil and is ready for installation.

The lightweight filter oil is designed to attract and trap dirt while maintaining airflow and is formulated not to damage airflow sensors

Universal Replacement Applications

The HPS-4298 is a universal air filter rather than a vehicle-specific component. It can be used on compatible aftermarket intake systems using a 3.5-inch filter connection, provided there is enough space for the filter’s overall dimensions.

HPS also uses the HPS-4298 as the replacement filter for several of its vehicle-specific intake kits, including applications for Honda Ridgeline, Pilot, Passport, Accord V6, Civic Type R FL5, and Acura Integra Type S.

Measure the existing intake tube and available filter space before ordering. A 3.5-inch intake connection alone does not guarantee fitment; the 6-inch base diameter and 7.75-inch overall length must also clear nearby components.
