Reduce heat soak and improve charge-air cooling with the PRL Motorsports Intercooler Upgrade for the 10th-generation Honda Accord.

Designed for both 2018–2022 Accord 1.5T and 2.0T models, this intercooler uses a dense bar-and-plate core measuring 27 x 3.5 x 7.25 inches and is rated to support 550+ horsepower. The core provides 85% more surface area and 83% more internal flow than the factory intercooler.

Larger 550+ HP Bar-and-Plate Core

The PRL intercooler uses a large, dense bar-and-plate core engineered to increase both cooling capacity and airflow.

PRL specifies:

Core dimensions: 27 x 3.5 x 7.25 inches
Power rating: 550+ horsepower
Surface area increase: 85%
Internal flow increase: 83%

The larger core helps reduce charge-air temperatures during repeated acceleration, spirited driving, and higher-output applications where the factory intercooler can become heat-soaked.

Helps Reduce Heat Soak

Turbocharged engines compress incoming air, which increases charge-air temperature. As the factory intercooler becomes heat-soaked, intake temperatures can rise and performance can become less consistent.

PRL designed this upgrade to help:

Reduce post-intercooler charge-air temperature
Improve power consistency
Improve cooling efficiency
Support higher airflow
Reduce performance loss from heat soak
Improve engine safety under sustained load

This intercooler kit provide gains in mid-range and top-end performance consistency as charge temperatures are reduced

Cast Aluminum End Tanks

The intercooler uses cast aluminum end tanks along with the large bar-and-plate core.

The design mounts in the factory intercooler location and retains the factory air ducts and shrouds, helping preserve proper airflow through the front of the vehicle.

Direct-Fit Installation

For 2018–2022 Honda Accord applications, PRL designed the intercooler to use the factory mounting points.

The intercooler is also compatible with the factory charge pipes.

For 2.0T owners looking for additional airflow, PRL also offers its separate Intercooler Charge Pipe Upgrade Kit, which increases the cold-side piping diameter from the factory 1.5 inches to 2.5 inches.

No ECU Calibration Required

No ECU calibration is required to install the PRL intercooler upgrade.

This makes it suitable as a standalone cooling upgrade for otherwise stock vehicles as well as a supporting modification for tuned or more heavily modified Accords.
